Bike Riding Tours - Point Nepean National Park
Point Nepean is one of Victoria's most beautiful natural landscapes. Its rich history has played an important role in shaping the early settlement, quarantine and defense of Victoria. The park is 560 hectares located at the tip of the Mornington Peninsula. Scenery includes outstanding coastal and panoramic views of Bass Strait, the Rip and Port Phillip Bay.

Tour Details
Our tour begins from inside the park where we meet our guides. From this point we ride past the historical precinct around the Quarantine Sation and Gunners Cottage, Stopping off at various sites in the park including the historic Cattle Jetty, Pearce Barracks and Eagles Nest . Then on along Defence Road to Fort Nepean. Here you have time to explore the tunnels, forts and gun emplacements from which the first allied shots of both World War l and World War ll were fired. After some refreshments we return to the bikes to and tour home via Cheviot Hill where former Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt disappeared without a trace in 1967.

When you head into the town of Portsea, we are on the left hand side - the last shop on the left.
Tour Times
9.00am and 1.00pm Daily. Tour times may vary depending on numbers and demand. If you have a preferred time for your group - then be sure to let us know. Groups bookings are tailored to your requirements as much as possible
Tour Duration
3 hours inclusive of briefing. (Allow extra time for parking. Tours may take longer than 3 hours depending on the group size and capabilities)

Bicycle, Helmet & Refreshments.
Commentary from your knowledgable guides who will show you the best panoramic views for photo opportunities. Guides carry first aid, safety equipment, and mobile phones.
What to Bring?
Back pack for personal items ie cameras, water bottle, sunscreen. Hat, sunglasses & closed heel shoes. Feel free to bring along your own personal helmet if preferred.
Participant Conditions
Participants need to be at least 8 years and of age and of reasonable fitness/confidence level. The pace of the trip is controlled carefully so as to maximize enjoyment and minimize effort. A sense of fun and adventure is your biggest asset. Younger children can be catered for on private tours or family tours.
