Discover Scuba Diving

Are you looking for an activity that would suit an adventurous bunch? Done snorkelling before but they REALLY love the water? Then what about scuba diving??

Bayplay offers schools and Outdoor Ed teachers a great opportunity to take students into a completely different world, the underwater world...

No experience is necessaryÂ for this activity, and even students less confident in the water can participate, regardless of their swimming skills.

After a basic theory session that covers the principles of physics, pressure and equipment related to scuba diving, off to the pool where students will get a first taste of underwater breathing and will practice the first 4 basic skills required before they hop in the ocean. Once they have mastered all skills in the pool, and after a giant stride into the water from Portsea Pier, they'll get to meet and greet the rare Weedy Sea Dragons, hopefully spot one of our resident stingrays and enjoy the company of our local school of globefish!

This program can be split over several days, depending on group size and needs. We can also add an extra boat dive to Pope's Eye National Marine Park, and hopefully spot dolphins and dive with seals!
