Explore the Mornington Peninsula National Park, just 1km from the lodge, Stroll along the Bay beach, just 500m from the lodge in the other direction or just laze by the pool. Whatever your pleasure, Bayplay has something to offer.
Beaches On The Bay
Go for a stroll along a 30 km long beach on Port Phillip Bay. Only 500 metres from the Lodge, it's a popular destination for many guests. You can lie in the sun, swim in the Bay, go snorkelling around the pier or just take a leisurely walk. Touted as one of the most beautiful beach-sides in Victoria, you'll not want to miss this one.
Ocean Back Beach
Hike along the same coastal edge as the Great Ocean Road. The Back Beach offers some of the most visually striking cliff-sides, and most exhilarating waves in Victoria. With over 16 patrolled beaches, each one offers a unique slice of the ocean's beauty and grace. Take an afternoon to walk on numerous trails along the beach and watch as the sunsets over the horizon. Take a picnic lunch, or enjoy a BBQ on the beach. Just 1.5 km from the Lodge, it's only a 2-minute drive to the Ocean Back Beach.
Mornington Peninsula National Park and Point Nepean National Park
Spend a day hiking along bush-trails through the Mornington Peninsula's spectacular National Park or go for a bike ride in Point Nepean National Park, or come on a Bayplay picnic to one of many fabulous beach spots. Visit Bushranger's Bay, the Blowhole, Cape Schank, London Bridge - with over 40 lookout points, they'll be spots you'll want to preserve in your memories forever.
Historic Sorrento
Sorrento boasts Victoria's oldest and most revered historic settlements to visit. From the State's first colonial towns to the batteries where Australia's first shots of World War I and II were fired from, you can visit these preserved monuments that helped shape our Australia today.
Night Life
Sorrento is a popular destination for Alfresco dining with views of coastal beaches or live entertainment in local pubs. Further along you'll find the town of Portsea with the well known Portsea Pub where you can have a drink on the deck overlooking the Bay.
