Snorkel with Seals
For those wishing to see the Australian Fur Seals in their natural habitat – this is the tour for you! Learn all about the marine life of Port Phillip Bay in a relaxed coastal setting with Bayplay’s professional interpretive guides. This is the perfect fun, family holiday activity - even for non-swimmers!
Tours begin with your friendly and highly experienced guide demonstrating the basics of snorkeling covering; equipment usage & terminology, in-water communication, snorkel & free diving skills as well as information on the marine life you can expect to encounter.
You’ll have access to a life ring at all times during your tour for maximum safety and comfort. This also combined with a buoyant wetsuit, enables non competent swimmers to enjoy the experience. Non swimmers will be given extra buoyancy items to assist them. Please note that if the wind or tide affect the site location and it is unsafe to snorkel at the seals, you will then be taken to an alternate snorkel site ont he day.

Duration : Tours take approximately 2 hours depending on group size & ability.
Times : Tours depart daily at either 10.30, 1.30pm or 3.30pm. Private Groups tailored for.
Inclusions : Snorkel Instruction, Equipment Hire, Guided Snorkel Tour to the Sea Dragons. Underwater cameras are available for purchase or hire at the Bayplay Adventure Shop prior to commencing the tour.
(Children under 8 may need their own wetsuit. Please ask at time of booking).
What to Bring/Wear ? Pack for the Beach - Bathers, Towel, Hat & Sunscreen.
Participant Conditions : The minimum age for participants of this snorkel tour is 6 years. Families with younger children are catered for separately in a tailored tour.
